According to the Meniere’s Australia website Meniere’s
disease affects one in every 600
Australians (that’s 0.166%). The American Hearing Research Foundation states that Meniere's disease affects roughly 0.2% of Americans. A neurological clinic in Germany estimated that 0.12% of the German population may have Meniere's Disease. It is estimated that 40 000-50 000 Swedes are currently contracted
with the disease. That’s about 0.5% of the Swedish population. And apparently about 0.4%
of Italians are affected by Meniere's Disease.
Wherever you are in the world, there are others just like
you, who share the Meniere’s experience.

Hello Beatrice,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your work. I was reading a article on DRACO, a drug being worked on by MIT. Its supposed to kill many viruses. May not be available until 2022. but there's hope. Thank you, Richard
Hi Beatrice
ReplyDeleteI have recently been experiencing episodes of mild but disconcerting vertigo with no other symptoms. I have a history of cold sores and Graves Disease. Could this be the onset of Menieres for me or should here be more symptoms? Do you think loose crystals in the ear could also be caused by the inflammation resulting from viral infection in the inner ear?
Thank you
Danny
Hi Beartrice, I read your comments with great interest. You are absolutely right about the medical community's approach to this. "Always treating symptoms" rather than looking for cures or causes.
ReplyDeleteI have been helping support sufferers for over 10 years at Menieres-Help.Com and for the past 5 years we have been studying and researching underlying causes and triggers. WE now know that nobody has to live with this condition. There are many possibilities but everyone can find their cause and deal with it. If you want more info on this or help in any way just email me direct at meniereshelp@gmail.com
Be advised that the John of Ohio Meinere's Treatment Regimen has been revised and updated, including larger lysine dosages. The PDF may be downloaded here: http://www.zoominternet.net/~kcshop/JOH.pdf

Hello from the UK. I came across your site when searching for info on Meniere's. There is much more information and interest in Australia than in the UK. After reading about SPC flakes and Salovum on your web site, I have managed to track down a supplier in Scotland so I have ordered myself the flakes. They are out of stock of the Salovum. I might also look into Lysine. The connection with herpes interests me greatly and it is not something which I have come across before. I also have "bowel" problems during an acute attack but had this connection dismissed by the doctor. Thank you for the information. I will let you know how I get on.
